A Caveat In light of a certain amount of controversy generated by this film, I feel the need to offer a few thoughts to consider. Many of the harsher critics (e.g. Matt Walsh) are neither literary critics nor film theorists. That is not to say they are not entitled to their opinions, but in my view, they are so focused on their political concerns (and outrage) that their analysis becomes reductionistic and misses the real message.
